capacious [ kuh-pey-shuhs ]

capable of holding much; spacious; containing or capable of containing a great deal

from the stem of the adjective capax “able to take, take in, contain,” a derivative of the verb capere “to take, catch, seize.”

Therapy rooted in relationship, creative expression, embodied awareness, and transpersonal insight—honoring the whole person in an atmosphere of deep respect.

I work with clients who feel there is more to who they are than how they are currently living, and who are committed to making a shift. My relational and client-centered approach encourages the therapeutic process to be a co-creative exploration between clients and myself, meeting as a collaborative team. Working holistically, with the body and mind, I support re-patterning old constructs to support living from a place of balance and deeper presence. Together, we uncover new perspectives that are in support of your goals and growth.

I consider how early attachment and experiences from birth and childhood influence development in to adulthood. Early imprinting can be such a profound influence in our lives. My work explores how the snags of our past can live in our bodies and be lived out in our relationships. Bringing awareness to these parts can empower change.

Therapeutic tools I use include art therapy, sandtray, connecting with elements in nature, body awareness, creative writing, and more. With these aids, we will work together to illuminate your inner experiences so that you can live a more fulfilling life, deepening your relationship with yourself and others. Read more about art therapy here.

Some of the issues I work with include:
depression, panic/anxiety, anger, grief, loss and bereavement, pregnancy and parenting, abortion and terminated pregnancy, forgiveness, spirituality, loneliness, divorce, identity issues, family problems, mood swings, self-care, scapegoating, fear, nightmares, self-confidence and self-esteem, social anxiety, trust issues, shame/guilt, emotional overwhelm, adjusting to change/transitions, general stress, and more.

"Healing is knowing who we already are, complete and whole. We cultivate our wholeness. We bring our sense of uncertainty along. Healing has to do with allowing all the aspects of ourselves to be there, without judging ourselves."
